What to Expect

Ridge to River Outdoors wants you to be prepared for your hunt.

  • The day will start about 1 hour or so before shooting time in the a.m. You will meet with the guide at a predetermined boat ramp.  Your guide will already have the boat in the water and ready to go.  We will make a run out to the area to be hunted. We will be responsible for getting the decoy spread put out, and set the boat up in the proper position.
  • Hunts are 6 hours in length or until limits are reached. - This does not include the first run and decoy setup.
  • Be prepared for wind, mud, water and cold weather.
  • NO ALCOHOL OR DRUGS ARE ALLOWED ON HUNTS. For the SAFETY of all hunters, we reserve the right to cancel a hunt if hunters show up under the influence of any controlled substances. In this circumstance, hunt fees WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
  • We provide waterfowl dogs for the trip.
  • Hunters must be 18 years of age to hunt or accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also licensed to hunt in Washington State.
  • SAFETY is imperative; all hunters must be experienced in safe gun handling & shooting techniques.
  • Due to insurance requirements, all hunters are required to sign a PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT, RELEASE & ASSUMPTION OF RISK form prior to leaving the boat ramp.

We keep our equipment in excellent condition.  We have all safety equipment for hunting out of a boat and safety is our top priority. Additionally, we do our best to ensure you have an enjoyable and memorable hunt.  The Gator Hide boat is quite comfortable, as you are lying down as you would in a layout blind.  However, this is not considered a gentlemens hunt.  Being dry and warm is based on your quality clothing and waders.
